Fun fact: the umbrellas Google provides for around the campus say "Don't be evil" on them. I'm pretty sure that rather than reminding everyone that this is a Google motto (I don't recall having seen it anywhere else on campus) it's actually an admonition to the employee not to steal the umbrellas.

For the bikes, since Googlers think it's fine to leave them at trolley stops, they've started putting GPS trackers on them, powered by generator hubs. I'm guessing this won't last given that generator hubs are valuable. Better to have people stealing them to ride than stealing them to sell or recycle the hubs.

@seanl What's annoying is that dynamo hubs are a luxury good in the US.

Actually, a lot of gear specifically designed for transportational cycling is cheap and common in Europe, but expensive luxury goods here...
